The company Meta, the parent of Facebook, plans to invest over $9 billion to launch its first artificial intelligence data center in Canada. This project, considered one of the largest investments by the company in AI infrastructure, will consume as much energy as 800,000 households.
Why Canada?
The choice of Canada as the location for this data center is based on several reasons. In addition to having suitable infrastructure and a skilled workforce, the country has become a popular destination for IT investments due to supportive policies and favorable legal environments.
