In a horrific incident that occurred on Thursday morning at Ludwigsluster Hospital, a fire claimed the lives of two individuals, and the damages are expected to reach millions of euros. The fire started at 4:29 AM in one of the rooms of the vascular surgery department, where one of the victims, an 85-year-old man, was hospitalized.
Investigation into the Cause of the Fire Continues
According to officials, around 100 people were present in the building at the time of the fire, including 80 patients and 20 staff members. Currently, investigations into the exact cause of the fire are ongoing, but there are no signs of a technical or intentional cause. The identification of one of the victims is still not confirmed and is expected to take place using DNA testing in the coming weeks.
