Recently, the head of DAK made a controversial statement criticizing government programs that require sick individuals to personally obtain a sick leave certificate from a doctor from the first day of illness. This measure, seemingly designed to organize the healthcare system, has faced significant criticism from doctors and insurance organizations.
Increased Pressure on Doctors and Patients
The head of DAK warns that this plan may lead to increased pressure on doctors' offices and, consequently, longer waiting times for patients. He also emphasizes that this plan will not help reduce work absences and may actually worsen the situation.
Storm then presented solutions that seem to help reduce work absences. He referred to successful models in Scandinavian countries and believes that by using these patterns, the healthcare system can be improved.
