On a sunny day, the beautiful Bavarian mountains hosted a joint air rescue exercise between the Bergwacht team and the police. The two groups engaged in a simulated air rescue operation in the Kohlleite mountain area that could be applied in real conditions.
Preparedness for Crises
The rescue teams used advanced helicopters to simulate the rescue of injured individuals from heights. This exercise was specifically designed to assess and improve cooperation among various rescue forces. Both groups successfully managed this task with a focus on rescue techniques and coordination in operations.
Such exercises not only help enhance operational skills but also boost confidence among rescue forces. In critical situations, readiness and the ability to act quickly can save many lives.
