While the shortage of building materials such as sand, gravel, and stone has become a serious issue, the use of recycled materials as a possible solution is still facing significant challenges in the implementation stage for various reasons.
Challenges of Using Recycled Materials
With the increase in prices and shortage of primary materials, using recycled building materials can help reduce costs and protect the environment. However, in public projects, issues such as strict regulations and standards hinder the adoption of this technology. Despite the existence of advanced technologies for recycling materials, bureaucratic obstacles and the lack of public acceptance of these methods have resulted in little progress in this area.
It seems that to address these challenges, there is a need for a review of regulations and greater awareness among stakeholders. Otherwise, the construction materials crisis could lead to more serious problems in construction.
