Donau Marsh, a beautiful and lush area in western Ingolstadt, is currently facing a major challenge. Plans to restore 2000 hectares of wetlands have not progressed, and only 145 hectares have come close to actual restoration. This situation has caused environmental experts to become extremely concerned and call for an acceleration of the restoration process.

The director of one of the bird and nature conservation organizations has clearly stated that time to save this unique ecosystem is quickly running out. He believes that immediate and effective actions must be taken to preserve this area and its biodiversity. Otherwise, irreversible consequences will await.
