Living in villages has been strongly regarded as a healthier option compared to urban living. According to the results of a recent survey, nearly half of the residents of rural areas (47 percent) believe that living in nature provides better health conditions. In contrast, only 27 percent of city dwellers share this view.

Income and Perspectives

Interestingly, the higher individuals' income, the more positive their assessment of their living environment becomes. About one-third of those living on a monthly income of less than 3000 euros rate their environment as very healthy. However, this figure rises to 46 percent among those earning at least 5000 euros.

Among the various factors that contribute to a healthy life, the presence of green spaces and parks ranks highest at 61 percent. Additionally, access to healthy food (48 percent) and noise levels in the environment (44 percent) are also of lesser importance. The air quality of the area ranks last at 41 percent.
