In another alarming incident, a car dealership in Berlin-Zehlendorf was horrifically targeted by an attack with an explosive device. This incident occurred on Tuesday night and caused damage to seven vehicles. Police were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of Beeskowdamm and Kleinmachnower Weg around 1 AM.
Recurrence of Violence and Social Concerns
This is the second time this dealership has been targeted by such attacks; a similar explosion had previously occurred at the same location on June 26, causing damage to several vehicles and parts of the building. The police had also reported significant damage at that time.
What is concerning is that the Police Union (GdP) has pointed to an increase in the use of firearms and explosives in crimes and expressed concern that the supply of military weapons, especially from the Ukraine region, is increasingly on the rise. This situation appears to indicate dangerous changes in the criminal world that is increasingly resorting to violent actions.
Investigations in this regard are ongoing by the special unit “Ferrum” at the local police department to examine potential connections to other similar incidents in recent days.
