This disaster, which occurred over the past two weeks, has not only claimed the lives of thousands but has also inflicted physical and psychological harm on thousands more.
Dire situation and search for the missing
According to reports, nearly 17,000 people have also been seriously injured, and many others remain on the missing persons list. As rescue services are under immense pressure, families are waiting for news of their loved ones, and efforts to find the missing continue.
These earthquakes clearly highlight the weaknesses in infrastructure and preparedness for dealing with natural disasters in this country. The government and relief organizations are striving to provide necessary assistance to the affected, but they face numerous challenges along the way.
